Commit These to Faithful Men

And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. 2 Timothy 2:1

This is our calling: to know the truth, to be faithful and grounded in the truth, and to pass that truth on to others!

Gathered Together For Prayer

"...Where many were gathered together praying." Acts 12

The importance of being consistant and meeting with the local church cannot be over stressed. These people were praying for peter and he was set free by an angel.

Prayer does change things!

My Lord and My God

"And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God." John 20:28

Such a short phrase but with such big implications. To be Lord means master. It means to have total control of your life, to dictate your actions and words, to lead in everything, beliefs, attitude and thoughts. Is Christ really our master today?

Faithful Stewards

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much, and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much." John 16:10

Today may we be good stewards with whatever the Lord has entrusted us with: wives, children, possessions, or time. Let us be faithful stewards for Him. Doesn't He deserve it?

God's Thoughts Toward Us

"For I know the thoughts that I have toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope...and you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart." Jeremiah 29:11,13 

What a precious promise! It is such a comforting thought to know that the Lord of this universe is thinking of each one of us all the time. His plans for us are always for the best whether we see that or not. Thank Him for His Son the Lord Jesus Christ today because He was the best thought that the Lord has ever had toward us!

Paradise

"And Jesus said to him, assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with Me in Paradise." Luke 23:43

To be with Christ, that is Paradise! To see His face, to hear His voice, to sing praises in His presence with all the other saints! That will be Paradise!

In These I Delight

"But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me.  That I am the Lord, exercising lovingkindness, judgement and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight, says the Lord." Jeremiah 9:24

What a sweet verse! We see the Lord's incredible character, boundless love, and the amazing statement that He would delight in those things if we do them!

All She Had To Live On

For they all contributed out of their abundance, but she out of her poverty put in all she had to live on. Luke 21:4

It is easy for me to give when there is plenty to go around. But what about when I feel I need my time or my money for something else that is important? This woman had the most generous heart of anyone in the world, because she gave regardless of the situation. The Lord wants what is valuable to us. He wants our time lived in service to Him. May we pray for one another that we would give of all we have to the Lord!

Much More

Enough for me that Jesus saves. This ends my fear and doubt;  A sinful soul I come to Him. He'll never cast me out...

FOR IF WHILE WE WERE ENEMIES, WE WERE RECONCILED TO GOD THROUGH THE DEATH OF HIS SON, MUCH MORE, HAVING BEEN RECONCILED, WE SHALL BE SAVED BY HIS LIFE...

Let Us Draw Near
